Pope Francis expressed hopes for the
formation of a new government in
Lebanon “that will have to face the
important challenges in the national
arena as well as in the international
sphere”. This is according to a
statement released by the Secretariat
of State following the Holy Father’s
private audience with Lebanese
President Michel Suleiman.
