Lent is a time for you and me to focus our attention
on our relationship
with Jesus Christ as disciples of the Master.
When you are marked with ashes, it is an action that
should bear fruit within you, not just an outward sign.
It is a call to you to return to the Lord in repentance
and deeds of mercy.
The threefold call of the season of Lent - Prayer, Penance
and Alms - gives us a program that helps to focus on
our relationship with Jesus during his Passion,
Death and Resurrection.
