Remember this name: Juan del Santo. A bold and versatile actor who just won the 'Silver Fish' award for best actor in the International Catholic Film Festival for his performance in a film called "Flow.”

In the film, Juan del Santo plays the role of an actor who gets involved in a scam that will change his life. The story then becomes about his desperate inner search. 

The festival found the film intriguing because it shows how to overcome life's difficulties. Juan says that this character was a personal challenge.

"We wanted to observe and reflect upon the misadventures which the character encounters. We wanted to make sure they were authentic, and unpleasantthe sort of situations that happen in real lifebut we also wanted to stress that there are many different ways to confront and react to pain.”

The versatile actor says that he was very lucky to have the chance to play a character like Walter Mann and now with a "Silver Fish” in hand his hard work has paid off.

"It has been a great blessing and a gift from God, to tell the truth, to be able to work on this film. It's a character I've wanted to play for some time now, and I was just lucky enough to play it for David [the director]. I think that it has been a very enriching experience.”

It hasn't been easy for the actor. Juan del Santo's character manages to convey hope, despite being trapped in a ring of deception.

"Flow” seeks to show how it's possible to hold onto hope, despite life's difficulties.
